Home cinema design discovery
During our first meeting, we take some time to understand all of your goals for the new entertainment room.
The key items we need to understand before we can begin a design are:

What will the room one used for?
There are several things that Entertainment rooms can be used for. These range from a Dedicated Home Cinema used only for Movies, to Gaming Rooms with a Golf, motor Racing or Multi-Sport Simulator.
There will be different design decisions if the room is used to watch Movies only, or Movies, TV and Sport, different again if Gaming or Simulation are required.
Who will use the room?
We want the room layout and seating to match the requirements of our guests. If you will often watch with young children rows of individual seats might be far less suitable than a large Sofa or Day Bed where the family can all sit together.
The opposite would be true of a large number of friends visiting for a sporting event where social interaction is key, but a Day Bed would be unsuitable, in this case a standing or bar stool area might work best.
For a room where only movies will be watched, rows of individual reclining armchairs might be the best option.
Our favourite rooms often include multiple options, so a large Sofa or Day Bed for watching movies with the children and a bar area behind for social gatherings and drinks during the football.
Interior Theme / Concept / Style?
This is the point where we will use Virtual Reality Headsets. We have a large number of concept rooms to discuss, in order to see the elements of each room style you like. This could be an ultra modern room with dynamic LED lighting, a classic Art Deco style to evoke the spirit of Hollywood,Hollywood or a Theme based on a favourite movie.
The options are endless, so if you can imagine it, we can build it.
Room Dimensions and existing layout
The number of seats, layout, screen size etc will a be determined by the size of the room available. Sometimes this is a fixed size with an existing unused space, garage or loft conversion, sometimes the room will be built specifically to create an entertainment room or Home Cinema, so we can advise on a suitable size to meet your goals.
We also need to understand where any doors or Windows are located, where the room is located inside the property and which other rooms are are adjoined. For example, If there is a Child’s bedroom above the Home Cinema, it would be important to to reduce the noise if you want to watch in the evening. Equally, if the Cinema is located near to a Home Office, it would need to be sound proofed if the room will be used by others during the day.
